7 Beaches:
An Rinn and An Sean Phobal have some of the most beautiful, unspoilt beaches in the South East of Ireland. An Coinigear in An Rinn, is perhaps the most famous, and when the tide is favourable, it is possible to walk out along the spit across Dungarvan Bay, practically as far as Dungarvan town, with spectacular views. The property itself is situated only a few minutes’ walk from a small, secluded, almost ‘secret’ beach set at the end of a beautiful country path.
Other beaches in An Rinn include Baile na nGall and the Cove in Heilbhic, a lovely secluded, pebbled beach near Heilbhic Pier. More remote and secluded spots include Faill a Staicin, a quiet strip of stand, accessible over a cliff walk, which is also a very popular spot for on shore angling. Baile Mhic Airt Strand in An Sean Phobal is less widely known and therefore an ideal place for a secluded picnic or sunbathing. The rock formations and coastal views from this strand are truly spectacular. Glenn Cairn/ Ballyquinn strand boasts miles of wide, sandy beaches.
